What is Coaching?
Coaching is a process which aims to help you transform in your work, business or personal life. It’s aims is to transform behaviours, habits and help you grow, make permanent changes, reach your full potiental and achieve work and life time goals.
During a coaching session I may use various methodologies, tools, techniques and specific questions aimed at helping you to identify; your goals, what’s holding you back and what steps you need to execute to achieve your goals and life time ambitions. We will explore those limiting beliefs and fears that we all have which prevent us achieving our goals. I truly believe that we can all achieve the impossible but it does take, a positive mindset, self- belief, determination, a willingness to listen and learn, commitment, planning, integrity, support and tenacity. Coaching is a process to motivate you to move you forward and should not be confused with counselling.
Private Coaching or Group Coaching
A Coaching session could be a one to one (private) or group session, my preferred method is on a one to one basis, I believe in quality rather than quantity, I want you to receive the most from your coaching sessions, get value for money and I want you to see and feel the results. Unlike group coaching, one to one coaching has no set agenda or programme/syllabus where you are given specific exercises to complete or homework. In private coaching I help you set your goals and stay on track to ensure you achieve your milestones and encourage you to be accountable for your actions. In one to one coaching there’s more room to explore emotional blocks and thought patterns and change your mindset. Coaching is a very personal and confidential service and I will never share your information or discuss our meetings.
My Style Of Coaching
My style of coaching is - Non-directive which means coaching is coaching in the true sense of the word where (I) the coach simply asks you questions to allow you to find your own solutions. As a non-directive coach I will not offer you advice or tell you what I think you should do. I will however, through expertise and skillful questioning and using various coaching tools and techniques, assist and support you in seeing a different perspective on a situation, help you gain clarity, explore options, challenge inconsistencies and your limiting beliefs and hold you accountable for your actions.
There are many benefits of non-directive coaching, but in essence, it means that you (the client) are completely in control and take ownership of your own solutions rather than ‘doing what you have been told to do.’ Through this approach you will feel a sense of empowerment and a commitment and promised to yourselves in following through your actions and making lasting changes in your life.
How Coaching Can Help You?
I offer support and coaching for individuals and for small and large businesses (and not just yoga teachers or student teachers). If you are not sure if coaching is for you, I offer a free 15 minute telephone call and brief consultation where I can answer your questions regarding coaching and the process of coaching, what to expect and not expect. Coaching can be beneficial for issues such as lack of confidence, low self esteem, trauma or any other challenge or struggle you may need to overcome. Coaching can help with relationship issues, career development or change of direction, interviews, dealing with challenging personal or work situations (current or forthcoming), difficult people, behaviours and scenarios, conflict and other work situations. Coaching can help with finding work life balance, challenging projects, redundancy, bereavement, divorce, mid life crisis, or anything that is overwhelming you and you feel stuck and need to move forward in life, make changes and create the life you want and deserve. As with any change, you have to want to make changes and be committed, so ask yourself. “How much do I truly want this?”. There is no time like the present.
How Many Sessions Will I need?
There are no set number of sessions, it very much depends on your situation or the issues that need to be resolved and changes that need to be made. Some clients may have 6-12 sessions while others have more. The sessions are booked at regular intervals, some clients find initially they require a weekly session while others find a monthly session far more realistic, much depends on your timescales and actions. Sessions can be face to face or by telephone or video. If you are not sure if coaching is for you or that I am the right coach for you then do take up my offer of a free 15 minute telephone or video call which gives you the chance to discuss and decide.
Coaching can be carried out at your place of work or at my studio in South Norfolk. For pricing please enquire at yogibabs(Replace this parenthesis with the @ sign)icloud.com. Take the first step and arrange a call.
Walk and Talk
Some clients find sitting in an office or small space uncomfortable, for this reason I offer my clients the opportunity to ‘walk and talk’. My studio is situated in the beautiful Norfolk countryside and offers nearby walks in nature which can be conducive to soothing the mind and, in the process, change the workings of our brains in ways that improve our mental health and provides us with the space to think and view things differently.
Coaching and Mentoring for Yoga Teachers and Student Teachers
A Mentor is a skilled or experienced person e.g. myself who works alongside a mentor e.g a yoga teacher for student teacher to offer my experience, knowledge and skills to a less experience individual or someone wanting a mentor to help them with a business or project. I offer mentoring for student and qualified yoga teachers. Once again I offer a free 15 minute telephone consultation. Contact me for a free 15 minute coaching consultation.
The above services are completely confidential, you will never be judged, you will be supported and guided in making the right decisions to enhance your life and change your mindset.
